ZeClinics is HIRING a Grants Coordinator!

ZeClinics offers an exciting opportunity for a Grants Coordinator to be part of the team, whose mission is to provide an outsourcing solution for safety and efficacy screenings of novel chemical molecules using zebrafish. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in European and national grants and fellowships management, coordination of the company activities in the context of the grant rules, and deep knowledge of possible funding opportunities from public sources at national and international levels (mainly the EU – Horizon Europe 2021 - 2027 program). The knowledge of opportunities from US public programs for business (i.e., NIH) will be considered a surplus in the selection process.
Duties of the Grant Manager will include:
  • Organization of records, technical activities, working hours databases, and financial operations of the company according to the international and national programs’ obligations and rules.
  • Grants opportunities search: international and national calls to fund projects and fellowships.  
  • Proposals preparation: support in proposing and writing proposals and coordinating budgets, submissions, and follow-ups.
  • European and national projects management: financial follow-up, coordination, technical and financial reports development, contact with project partners. 
  • Economic justification of the eligible costs after the termination of a granted project and support to the scientific team in preparing technical justification.
  • Scouting grant opportunities in specific National programs (USA, Japan, China, and EU).
  • Actively proposing ideas for the conceptualization of new projects for grant submission. 
Studies

Holding a Master’s degree (and equivalent) in biotechnology, biology, biochemistry, biomedical laboratory science, or a related discipline will be very important. Finally, a Ph.D. and/or a Direction and Project Management Master’s degree or equivalent will be a great plus.

Experience to value
  • At least 2-3 years experience in Project Management.
  • Extensive knowledge of European and other international grant funding instruments. 
  • Proven experience in European projects, having played active roles during the proposal preparation and project coordination stages.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in parallel, including financial, administrative, and valorization issues.
Additional Skills
  • Ability to work independently and interact with several collaborators.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strict attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple. Projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively and respect deadlines.
Languages

Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written, will be essential. Spanish/Catalan knowledge will be crucial too. The ability to speak, read and write in other languages (i.e., Italian, French, Japanese, and German) will be a plus.

The Offer
  • Duration: Indefinite contract.
  • Estimated annual gross salary: 30-35k plus variables, according to experience.
