ZeClinics will be attending the 48th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Toxicology (JSOT) next July 7-9 2021. The JSOT is the toxicology event in Japan, one of the biggest of this field.
For this year's hybrid edition, we have prepared a recorded presentation that will be projected during the event by our Agent (Ina Research).
Title of the talk: ZEBRAFISH, A NOVEL KEY PLAYER FOR HUMAN RISK ASSESSMENT
Subtitle: LATEST ADVANCES ON DEVELOPMENTAL NEUROTOXICITY FROM AN INTERNATIONAL CONSORTIUM
The content of the talk includes the work that ZeClinics has conducted together with other public and private zebrafish laboratories to standardize developmental neurotoxicity (DNT) assessment coordinated by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD).
DNT entails one of the most complex areas in toxicology. That is why the generation of a guideline using new alternative methods for a faster and more effective DNT assessment is a pressing priority for OECD.
The results of this study demonstrate the added value of the zebrafish model inside the proposed in vitro battery for human risk assessment. These findings pave the way for the integration of the zebrafish model in the novel OECD guidance document as a reliable alternative model for the improvement of human DNT prediction.
Join us at JSOT to know more about these inter-laboratory studies and the efforts we are making with regulatory bodies to validate the use of zebrafish as a model for predicting DNT.
