BIO 2022: 20 European innovators paved the way for innovation and strategic business partnerships overseas

Over the course of the four-day tradeshow, the European presence was prevalent during the high-level sessions.

On 13-16 June 2022, 20 pioneering EIC- funded SMEs, startups and scale-ups with breakthrough healthcare solutions met in San Diego, USA at BIO International Convention 2022, the leading medical biotech exhibition in the Americas. BIO brought together key international industry stakeholders and ensured attendees leave with precious insights and significant connections to unlock limitless future possibilities.   After two years of online programming, BIO conference has returned to San Diego Convention Center, attracting thousands of life sciences companies from across the globe to the annual event that sparked strategic collaborations and business deals that will transform the future of the industry. Through thought-provoking sessions, the interactive exhibit hall, countless networking opportunities and One-on-One-Partnering, attendees connected directly with European leaders and innovators. The agenda of the trade fair focused on critical topics such as business development, healthcare innovations and the dynamic potential of biotechnology sector. The European Pavilion hosted a diverse range of emerging technologies, including digital health products and sustainable biotech solutions that deliver a positive impact in the healthcare sector. During the business exhibition, the selected companies had the unique opportunity to engage with professionals around the North America region. pressnote.png Among the key highlights stands out the European Night, an exclusive networking business reception organised by the European Innovation Council (EIC), EuropaBio, the Estonian Business and Innovation Agency, the Italian Trade Agency and the Switzerland Global Enterprise. The high-level event brought together more than 250 participants, including the best innovators and entrepreneurs from 10 European countries, who seized the opportunity to establish remarkable partnerships. The selected EIC-funded companies participated in 800+ business meetings with strategic stakeholders and generated 1000+ business contacts.
